HIndi Vishva Bharati

Dr. Rajender Kumar has been serving as the Secretary of Hindi Vishva Bharati since March 2024. After assuming office, he took several significant initiatives to strengthen the institutional framework and academic outreach of the organization. Under his leadership, the institute was successfully registered with NITI Aayog, ensuring its recognition at the national level. He also obtained the ISSN number (3048-5266) for the research journal Vishvambhara, thereby enhancing its academic credibility and visibility.

As the Editor, Dr. Kumar has so far edited five consecutive issues of Vishvambhara, maintaining high scholarly standards and expanding its thematic scope. His dedicated efforts have contributed to the journal’s steady progress and growing reputation in the field of social sciences, humanities, art and culture. His commitment continues as he works to further enrich and professionalize the publication.

Under the banner of Hindi Vishva Bharati, Dr. Kumar has launched a new project (Prakalp) titled “Bikaner Through the Ages”, which focuses on highlighting lesser known aspects of Bikaner’s historical, cultural and intellectual heritage.

As part of this ongoing project, a special lecture was delivered on September 6, 2025, by Professor S.K. Bhanot, a former Dean and Head of the Department of History at Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner. The lecture was titled “1857 का प्रथम स्वाधीनता संग्राम एवं बीकानेर.” The lecture provided insight into the historical events related to 1857 in Bikaner State and emphasized the need for further research in regional history.
